From the very beginning, the lead in track Flesh & Bone, Casey takes the audience onto a amazing musical journey with his country sounding vocals and backing sounds.
A professional sound that will be around for many years to come. Valentine, the second track off the album is soothing to your musical ears, it’s smooth and it’s radio friendly. Waiting On The Day and Hard Times are two strong tracks that keeps listener ears begging for more! The final track of the EP, ‘Michelle’ is a live acoustic song where Casey Barnes teams up with iconic music legend Rick Price. The track is one of my favourites on the EP – so good to see two greats in the business team up to produce something so beautiful.

Casey Barnes has announced June 13th the official release date of his highly anticipated EP ʻFlesh and Boneʼ. The EP, co-written with fellow Australian Rick Price (Heaven Knows/Not a Day Goes By) was recorded in Nashville in 2013, with Price also producing and mixed by Grammy Award winner Jason Lehning.
Caseyʼs enthusiasm with this release is evident as he explains ‘This latest collection of tracks is definitely one I’m the most proud of to date. By combining my authentic sound with the rootsy influence of writing & recording in Nashville, I feel that I’ve finally arrived with a release that truly represents where I’ve always wanted to be.’

The release of the new EP will coincide with Caseyʼs special performance at the Broadbeach Country Music Festival with band on June 21st, which will double as his official EP launch. The lead up to the release has been an amazing ride for Casey with the current single ʻFlesh and Boneʼ reaching the final of the International
Songwriting Competition in the US, a great achievement considering there were over 20,000 world wide entries this year.
In addition, the video for the track has been gaining regular airplay on
Australiaʼs Country Music Channel making its debut in the CMC Top 50 last week. The song also raced to #13 on the All Australian Top 20 Countdown on the Country Radio Network the same week. To cap off the week, Casey performed the song on Melbourneʼs Marngrook Footy Show.
The new EP also contains the hit single ʻValentineʼ which was released earlier this year gaining nationwide airplay, a performance on Channel Sevenʼs ʻWeekend Sunriseʼ, regular play on Foxtelʼs CMC and famed national music writer for Herald Sun, Cameron Adams, named the clip one of the best couples music videos of all time.
