New Music: Roo Panes ‘Where I Want To Go’

It may sound trite, but UK artist Roo Panes really does have the voice of an old soul. His deep, grizzly vocals would sit well in a folk-blues band at the turn of the century, just as it sits distinctively at the forefront of your mind days after listening. Having already clocked up over 30 million plays on Spotify and over a million total YouTube views, Panes is on our radar for his timeless, goose bump-inducing tales of heartache. Yet also for his quiet allegiance to folk; Roo Panes is the real deal. ‘Where I Want To Go’ is lifted from forthcoming albumPaperweights (out March 4), which was produced by Rupert Coulson (Portishead, Robbie Williams, Oasis).
