TEASER: Out In The Line-Up – Gay Surf Doco!

After picking up a slew of awards at film festivals around the globe, Aussie documentary Out in the Line-Up returns to Sydney for one night only on Tuesday June 2.

The film chronicles the exploits of a gay surfer, David Wakefield, and the founder of the world’s first website for gay surfers, Thomas Castets, as they embark on a global journey to discover the gay underbelly of surfing.

The film was an audience favourite at Mardi Gras Film Festival picking up the top honour for Best Documentary. It has since picked up awards at Newport Beach International Film Festival and the Best Film award at the San Diego Surf-Film Festival. Director and Eastern suburbs filmmaker, Ian W Thomson said the audience response to the film has been overwhelming.

“The feedback we got was that this is a well-overdue conversation that needs to be had within the surfing community – and we wanted to give our local crowd the chance to see the film before we head off for screenings in Europe.” Out in the Line-Up screens on Tuesday, June 3 , 2014 at 6.30pm at the Chauvel Cinema Paddington.
