Special Interview: James Sayer

theaussieword.com catches up with UK based artist James Sayer.

Tell us how it all started. What had you first interested in music?

I’m from a very musical family. My Dad is a piano/vocalist, his two brothers are, my brother, too! And my grandad was a saxophone
player (the sax solo I play on the track is on his saxophone!). But I guess my Dad’s influence from an early age was what got me into music. We always had so much music on in the car and at home, stuff like The Beatles, Rod Stewart, Elton John, Tina Turner and right back to stuff like Muddy Waters. I was hooked from day one!

What motivates or influences you in your quest to make great music?

I’m a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to making music (well I like to think so, anyway!) but ultimately it’s what I love to do and in all honestly I don’t know what else I would do without making music! Continue reading “Special Interview: James Sayer”
