Give us an introduction. How did it all begin? What had you first interested in music?

A: I’ve been interested in music for as long as I can remember, mum tells me I started trying to sing before I could talk and tried to make a guitar out of a cake mix box, a stick and some rubber bands when I was three.

What motivates or influences you in your quest to make great music?

A: Mainly the feedback from the audience, I find if the content of the song is interesting to me it usually resonates with the people who follow my music and hopefully continues to create new fans.

What are your biggest goals you hope to accomplish as an artist?

A: To continue reaching, entertaining and expanding a worldwide audience with my music and keep performing until I can no longer.

What can we expect from you in the coming months? Any plans to tour?

A: I’m really looking forward to hosting my Aussie Rail & Sail holiday next month where music fans can join me on an eleven day holiday starting in Cairns, then railing to Brisbane, then we sail to Sydney on Princess Cruises. Another highlight of course will be headlining my two shows and the Capitol Theatre Tamworth during their country music festival next January.

Tell us a bit about your latest album and how would you best describe your music?

A: My latest album is called Whisper In The Crowd, full of songs with real stories I’ve either experienced or which mean a lot to me. I would describe my music as Contemporary Country /Country Rock .

Success, what is the secret to it?

A; Pick something you love to do and it continues to drive you forward and doesn’t feel like work.

What has been your biggest career highlight?

A; Being inducted into the Australian Country Music Hands Of Fame in Tamworth this year.

Which stars of the music industry do you find inspiring?

A: Brad Paisley, Keith Urban, Chris Young, Alan Jackson, Johnny Cash,

Any new projects in the pipeline?

A: I’ve started writing for my next album, planning to host more holidays and what to release a DVD of my music.

The shape of the music industry has changed significantly over the years, including the use of social media, how do you feel about the industry as a whole and what does it mean to you in getting your records out into the public eye?

A: I feel in the music industry now there are more opportunities than ever to get your music out there and for proactive artists to lift their profile though the many different social media platforms. Getting my records in the public eye is a crucial part of my career, being a full time recording artist for me is all about profile and awareness of the music fans.
