The Aussie-American duo Vox Eagle arrives with their addictive and atmospheric pop song, ‘No Sleep.’ The tune was first released in the USA in September 2016, making it the band’s debut single.

Vox Eagle began on the road in the back of a tour van (2014 east/west coast band tour w/ The Canyon Rays) and takes on that persona as a duo.

The sound encapsulates the free spirit of the American highway and the sense of endless adventure and opportunity on the open road.

The duo is comprised of Luke Hamel and Andy Crosby. The project blends ambient pop grooves with elements of tropical psychedelia. This year the lads are busy finishing their debut EP, which is set to be released early 2017.

The recording sessions for Vox Eagle have taken place in various locations whilst road-tripping across the USA, ranging from the mountains of Colorado to the forests of upstate New York, the Mojave Desert, Vegas, LA, Manhattan, various AirBNBs, motels, hotels, planes, trains and vans using the band’s mobile recording equipment.

‘No Sleep’, was crafted in Midtown Manhattan with pop producer Zach Seman, who, along with the band, helped write and record the song in a 48-hour burst of creativity. Like the sleepless nights that birthed the song, the moody ambiance of the record evokes the insomniac spirit of NYC. The song’s late night summer sound is heightened by its sweeping synths, hypnotic rhythms and Beach Boys inspired vocal melodicism.
