NEW MUSIC: Ellen Amy ‘Jealous’

Lively country music singer Ellen Amy releases her debut single and video ‘Jealous’. An empowering song about failed relationship, Ellen brings the pure Aussie spirit of Sunny Cowgirls and the snap of Kelsea Ballerini to the party and says, “Jealous is about a girl who wants to make her ex-boyfriend jealous by showing him what he has let go.”

The single was recorded at Brisbane’s Red Engine Recording Studio with Andrew Cochrane (Caitlyn Shadbolt, Christie Lamb, Kaylens Rain). “I have wanted to work with Andrew for a while now and am very happy with our work on the track.”

The music video was directed by Josh Favaloro from the team at The Filmery and shot on location at at K Ranch Arena near Cambden NSW. Ellen Amy says, “I have performed at this venue and dedicated a lot of my time there, the first time I walked into K Ranch I knew I wanted to film my first music video there. The saloon bar and the atmosphere at K Ranch was the right vibe for the video. I couldn’t imagine filming anywhere else.”

With a voice that walks the line between true country and contemporary pop, Ellen Amy has been working the country music scene watching, learning and getting ready to take her first recorded music steps.

Growing up in Picton, NSW, raised on church hymns and country music.

Ellen Amy spent her younger years honing her vocal talents with choir and musical performances. The first time Ellen Amy performed solo was with her mum’s guitar, singing Amazing Grace in church at 12 years of age and once she knew a few chords Ellen never put the guitar down and knew that it was all she wanted to do with her life.
