The Australian brand ambassador of Mr Gugu and recently hailed as one of the top 15 LGBTI acts to watch, Dyan Tai has big shoes to fill in 2014. Dyan got a kickstart in his music career as the inaugural winner of the Sydneyvision Song Competition with his debut single, “Why Sydney” and since then has been a regular performer in the live music scene in Australia.
Dyan also recently featured on X factor Australia after being invited to audition for both X-factor and Australia’s Got Talent. This prompted Dyan to quit his full time job in the medical industry to write his new EP. The EP got picked up by an up and coming music label, Surveillance Party and set to be released in mid-2014.
The first single, Digital Kiss speaks about love and lust in the digital age as well as how different aspects of our daily lives have been enabled and replaced by digital versions of something similar. The provocative music video is now out on Youtube and heavily features clothes from sponsor, Mr Gugu.
February will see Dyan return to Australia’s biggest all-ages cultural festival – the National Multicultural Festival in Canberra (past performers include Jessica Mauboy, Anthony Callea). He will also be performing at Sydney Mardi Gras Main Stage.
