Sydney Indie Rock/Folk quartet Battleships have just released their debut 7-track mini album ‘To You’, following singles ‘In Retrospect’ and ‘Your Words’ earlier this year. ‘In Retrospect’ was the first track to grab attention with its blend of haunting vocals and atmospheric, intelligent musicianship, while follow up single ‘Your Words’ pushed their sound to the next level, cementing their unique sonic aesthetic.
As well as finding themselves in high rotation on Australia’s Triple J, the band have been supported by BBC 6 Music‘s Lauren Laverne and Radcliffe and Maconie, as well as Sat Bisla’s Passport Approved. On the press side, the band has received love from the likes of Indie Shuffle, Knox Road, The Peel, and Music From Go To Whoa. They have also become a “new favourite band” of the Communion lot.
