Melbourne WebFest Announcement

Melbourne WebFest has announced its Official Selection for 2013, consisting of 30 international web series that will be screening at the festival. All series in the Official Selection are nominated for a range of awards, including the Grand Jury Award, which will see one series go on all-expenses paid trips to Los Angeles, USA, and Marseille, France, to screen and network with international creators at their respective international web series festivals.

Melbourne WebFest is Australia’s first international web series festival and its mission is to acknowledge excellence and innovation in digital entertainment. It is the hub in the southern hemisphere for web series creators to share their knowledge, network, and be recognized, and discuss emerging trends in digital and online media, across mediums and genres. Melbourne WebFest will take place 20 July, 2013, from 9am-11pm at Kindred Studios. Kindred Studios is located at 212a Whitehall Street, Yarraville (free parking along street).

A total of 8 countries are represented in MWF’s Official Selection. 9 Australian shows made the cut. Australian series include:

COMEDY
