Mariah Carey has announced that her new single The Art of Letting Go will be released on her Facebook page. Mariah aptly shared the news on Facebook earlier today to her 13million fans, stating that the release will be November 11.
The announcement comes later than expected, after the singing superstar suffered a serious shoulder injury in July whilst on set for her #Beautiful video.
‘Hi everyone!! I couldn’t be more thrilled to announce that my brand new single “THE ART OF LETTING GO”, will be released here exclusively on my Facebook page on 11.11.2013!!
‘This song is so personal to me and I’m very excited to share this experience with you in such an intimate way (sic),’ she gushed to fans.
She then changed her cover photo to artwork of the new single, with the hash tag Letting Go.
The photo also invited her fans to an exclusive listening party on Facebook, where they’ll get to hear her eagerly anticipated new single for the first time.

Last week the It’s Like That singer took to her social media page to update her ‘lambs’ on the progression of her injury.
She also assured them that her new album is a ‘complete+total classic (sic).’
‘Hiiii lambs!! The last three months of my life have not been easy. Getting through this injury has been the toughest experience of my life.
‘It took me three months to get to this point but thank God I was able to recover and get my arm back. It’s a huge deal, it should have taken eight months and even my doctors can’t believe it,’ she revealed.
