Fresh from her recent US Tour, Havana Brown now drops her latest single, ‘Spread A Little Love’, which is lifted from the EP ‘When The Lights Go Out’. The track follows on from the success of the near double platinum single ‘You’ll Be Mine’ and latest platinum single ‘Big Banana’. ‘Big Banana’ also achieved success in the US market securing #1 position on the Billboard Club Dance Chart, this was Havana’s second #1 on the Billboard Club Dance Chart with “We Run The Night” leading the charge.
New single, ‘Spread A Little Love’is all about the spreading of positivity. “Today, with all the social media we have, we’re more exposed to negativity,” Havana points out. “We put our lives on the internet and it makes us so vulnerable. This song is about making a small positive gesture that could change someone’s day, week or even life. It can be as simple as a smile – you don’t know what affect that might have on someone.”
The single, produced by RedOne, comes accompanied by 3 remixes by esteemed artists Uberjak’d, Reece Low and Ed Colman & Mobin Master.
Since her 3 x platinum hit ‘We Run The Night’, Havana has since spent the last year primarily based in the U.S. She has been working harder than ever, getting by on four hours’ sleep to hit the studio – also DJ-ing at weekends. “When it comes to the concept of taking it easy,” she says, “I think, well, what am I taking it easy from? I have a great life. I’m working, doing what I love to do.” Her passion has been rewarded with Havana having sold over 2.5 million singles worldwide to date.
Australian fans can look forward to a visit from Havana later in the year when she will be back to promote her latest single and her EP.
Having recently celebrated platinum success in the US with her debut single We Run The Night Havana Brown has reason to celebrate all over again on home soil with her brand new single You’ll Be Mine – featuring R3hab reaching platinum sales in Australia.
Havana has also been nominated for an ARIA Award in the category of Best Dance Release. This is the second year that Havana has been nominated, having been up for Highest Selling Single and Breakthrough Artist Release in 2011. “I feel really honored being nominated for an ARIA amongst such a strong lineup of Australian dance acts. The dance music industry has never been stronger in Australia and it is great to be representing the genre as part of the 2012 Awards” Havana said after learning of her nomination.
In Australia ‘We Run The Night’ is now 4 x platinum. Having peaked on the ARIA chart at #5, the single also spent 10 weeks in the top 10 and was #1 on the ARIA dance and Australian chart. It also reached #2 on the iTunes chart in Japan and is platinum in New Zealand and Canada. The success is sure to continue with the single being launched in the UK and Europe this October. Havana is back in Australia briefly before heading off on a whirlwind run of international dates with the likes of Rita Ora, R3hab, Afro Jack and LMFAO. Her first stop is the ABU (Asia Broadcasting Union) TV Song Festival in Seoul on October 14 with an expected broadcast audience of 300 million across Asia (and will be screened on SBS in Australia on October 28 at 9.30pm). The last stop for the year will be Miami with Pitbull for a performance on NYE.

Iglesias was in full flight with so many highlights to come from the night. He looked and played the typical Enrique part, wearing casual denim jeans, plain t-shirt and a sporty baseball cap. Just how Enrique fans like it.
