AUSSIE TOURS: STEVIE NICKS, JOHN FARNHAM & JO JO ZEP

She gave us a string of hits with Fleetwood Mac, but now Stevie Nicks is returning to Australia with Eurythmics front man Dave Stewart for a performance at Melbourne’s Myer Music Bowl on November 19, followed by a gig at Mornington Race-course on November 20. The new album titled In Your Dreams is out now, also produced by Dave Stewart and features the tracks Secret Love and Cheaper Than Free. A series of new dates have been announced for the US, with the setlist featuring a few Stevie gems…. Stand Back, Rhiannon and Dreams. Tickets for the Melbourne show are available from Ticketmaster on 136 100 from July 6th.
John Farnham is also touring the land Down Under. Love him or hate him, the man has been part of the Aussie wireless since ‘cookie was an egg‘. We got hits such as Sadie (The Cleaning Lady), Touch Of Paradise, Two Strong Hearts, Age of Reason, Pressure Down and the biggest tune for John to date, Your The Voice. Farnham has been on and off stage declaring it would be his last, but the icon from OZ refuses to give up. This time, John Farnham will be celebrating the 25th anniversary of Australia’s highest ever selling album Whispering Jack. In October, the album will mark 25 years since hitting number one in 1986 and 1987 for 6 months – an extraordinary achievement. Jo Jo also put group The Black Sorrows onto the map, featuring sisters Vika & Linda Bull, the ensemble had several massive hits in 1989. 1. Love Stevie Nicks! Great to see a woman her age still going strong and touring the world.Dave Stewart, too. Now, if only Annie Lennox, with her new OBE from the Royals, would do a duet of “There Must be An Angel” with Kylie, that would be “made in heaven.”
