One Direction Australian Tour 2015

One Direction will tour Australia in 2015. And this time they’ll be playing stadiums.
The boyband will play open-air venues in each of the five big cities, starting with a show Feb. 7 at Sydney’s Allianz Stadium. The “On The Road Again” 2015 Tour will then visit Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide and wrap-up Feb. 20 at Perth’s Patersons Stadium.
Tickets for the general public go on sale from May 31 at 4pm local time in each state, while a 48 hour pre-sale starts at 12pm on May 29 for customers of Telstra. Pre-registrations can be logged at telstra.com/music.

There’s a theme to 1D’s tours of Australia. Each time they visit these shores, they need bigger venues. 1D first played Australia in 2012, when they hit theatres and convention centers around the country. Tickets sold out in three minutes, organizers said at the time. They returned in 2013 for an arena trek, which proved to be another brisk sell-out. “We can’t wait to come back to Australia and play for all our fans again on the ‘On the Road Again 2015 Tour’,” One Direction’s Liam Payne says in a statement. “Our Australian fans have been there for us since day one, and we always have such a great time there. We’ll see you all in February next year.”

One Direction’s debut 2011 album “Up All Night” is quadruple platinum (280,000 units-plus) in Australia, 2012 sophomore set “Take Me Home” is triple platinum (210,000 units-plus) and 2013’s “Midnight Memories” is double platinum (140,000 units-plus).
