NEW MUSIC: Pinkish Blu ‘Capricorn’

Following the release of their early 2018 neon-hued debut single “Lovely”, the Adelaide-based sad-pop post-punk quartet Pinkish Blu recently dropped their highly anticipated second single “Capricorn”. Earning praise such as “reflective, descriptive and full of depth” (triple j unearthed), “a four-minute burst of energy that unites their 80s influences with this punk-meets-dance” (Pilerats), and “the sad-pop anthem you need to knock you right in the feels while simultaneously pumping you up” (Purple Sneakers), and channeling their emotional, 80’s inspired, post-punk, happy-sad vibes, “Capricorn” delivers a sonically energetic punch.

A creatively mature step in the direction of owning their unique sound, latest single “Capricorn” is filled with synth hooks and signature guitar tone, complimented with inventive songwriting and lyricism.

With references ranging from greek mythology and star signs, to the bible, “Capricorn” speaks about how the strange and wonderful depths of one’s mind can be hard to deal with when in a relationship.
