Official Trailer: The Broken Shore

The Broken Shore is an evocative Australian thriller set against a background of police corruption, racism and family tragedy. Joe Cashin (Don Hany: East West 101, Offspring) is a Homicide Detective transferred to the small Victorian coastal town where he grew up. When a wealthy benefactor dies, Joe’s investigation uncovers a cycle of lies, betrayal and corruption in a community where tensions over race, class and politics are at boiling point.

Capturing the chilling action and laconic wit of Peter Temple’s acclaimed novel, this television adaptation filmed against the rugged south-east Victorian coastline brings alive the cast of complex characters as it slowly reveals the shocking face behind a community’s respectable mask.
Also starring Claudia Karvan (Love My Way), Anthony Hayes (Animal Kingdom), Erik Thomson (Packed to the Rafters), Dan Wyllie (Puberty Blues), Tony Briggs (The Slap) and Wayne Blair (Redfern Now), The Broken Shore is a gripping thriller infused with wit and humanity. The Australian called it, “a masterful piece of TV drama… could just be the TV drama of the year” and it’s out on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD now.
