The new single ‘Flashback’ from Mathew V… “Writing this song was one of the hardest things I‘ve had to do in my life. I wrote this song about my experience with sexual violence/rape at seventeen years old, and how that situation has influenced and affected my life today. It was something that I always knew I had to process, and had always avoided. But with every new song I wrote, I still had this in my closet, this weight on my chest.”Continue reading
Wang Chung came out of the post-punk, New Wave scene in the UK going on to achieve global success, selling millions of records. Throughout their 35 year career they have released 6 albums and 2 Greatest Hits compilations. They have had 6 US Top 40 hits including a number 1 and other international smash hits including ‘Dance Hall Days’ and ‘Let’s Go’, and achieved cult status with their soundtrack for William Friedkin’s movie ‘To Live and Die in LA’, as well as their original song contribution to John Hughes’ legendary movie, The Breakfast Club. In the process of all of this (and somewhat unintentionally), Wang Chung became part of the contemporary culture of North America. Their huge smash ‘Everybody Have Fun Tonight’, with its now famous line ”Everybody Wang Chung Tonight” saw the invention of a new US verb: ”to Wang Chung”, the band being name-checked by everyone from Homer Simpson, Austin Powers, Two and a Half Men’s Charlie and Alan Harper, Top Gear’s James May and Richard Hammond, to Frasier Crane to name just a few. More recently their music has also featured in TV shows like The Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, South Park, Glee, This is Us, SNL and The Goldbergs, amongst many others…as well as in movies like Bumblebee, Deadpool and The Fighter. They have also featured in various huge video game titles like Grand Theft Auto:Vice City and in many big commercials.
Wang Chung return with an orchestral take on an all-time classic.

Shot in the beautiful spot that is Stanwell Park and Coledale, NSW, the video follows the story of a man mourning with the loss of his father through flashbacks which feature fellow Australian actor Brendan Moar (Dry Spell Gardening – Foxtel, Coast Australia). Jeremy Lindsay Taylor delivers an honest, raw and captivating performance that is the perfect combination of strength and vulnerability.” – Director Anna Phillips

An artist in every sense of the word, indie pop sensation Yoke Lore (Adrian Galvin) merges his talents to create an experience beyond his music and his new animated video for “Homing” features his own art with that of illustrator Emily Nava. “Homing” is the final track on his 2018 EP, Absolutes, of which Galvin says, “”Homing” is about seeing the search for love as a search for a home. It’s important to articulate what we really feel when we feel things like love or when we want to be with someone. For me, part of the reasons I search for love is because I long for a safety and security. For other people they might be looking for companionship or parents or someone who can offer them excitement. But for me, love is life as a homing missile.”
