The Walking Dead a series about a group of survivors – post apocalypse, broke all the records in 2010. The show, branded the biggest series in cable history among Adults 18-49 was also the biggest global original series to debut on Fox International Channels. AMC has announced that a second season of The Walking Dead will return in October 2011 – signed for a new 13 episode stint. The show reached record breaking ratings in 120 countries in Latin America, Asia, Europe and The Middle East.
The first season of six episodes was well received by viewers, with the show picking up a Golden Globe nomination. It was also the highest rated original series to ever premiere worldwide for Fox International Channels – with this, a second season beckons as the gripping storytelling continues from The Shawshank Redemption golden boy Frank Darabont!
To me, this show is a cross between LOST and Supernatural, a dramatical horror that is well worth watching. The new series has just begun filming in and around the Atlanta area, no doubt on track for delivering more ‘walker’ magic. Watch the trailer below…
