Special Interview: Alex L’Estrange

theaussieword catches up with Alex L’Estrange.

Tell us how it all started. What had you first interested in music?
There was always music around when I grew up. My mother is a classical pianist and my father is a hi-fi speaker designer. Was a weird mix.

What motivates or influences you in your quest to make great music?

I think mostly my environment. The people and the geography. I’m not a prolific artist, but when I need to write it’s pretty much do or die.alex-lestrange-promo-pic-1

What are your biggest goals you hope to accomplish as an artist?
To create music that resonates with someone else on a truly meaningful level.

Success, what is the secret to it?
I don’t think I’m successful enough to say!

What has been your biggest career highlight so far?
Probably having the opportunity to tour Australia this year with Holy Holy.

Which stars of the music industry do you find inspiring?
Sam Cromack is someone I look up to. But there are too many to name.

The music industry is huge, where do you see yourself a few years from now?
I really have no idea! Hopefully content. Continue reading Special Interview: Alex L’Estrange
