NEW MUSIC: Roland Tings ‘Eyes Closed’

Off the back of an extensive 25-date US/Canadian tour supporting Chrome Sparks and an official remix of Snakehips’ ‘Cruel’, Melbourne-based super producer Roland Tings returns with his highly anticipated single, ‘Eyes Closed’.  The track comes alongside Tings’ current North American escapades supporting RÜFÜS before heading home for a string of summer festivals, including Beyond The Valley and Laneway Festival.

After spending years living in Melbourne, Tings’ escaped to a house on NSW’s Central Coast to write ‘Eyes Closed’.

“I wanted to make a song that would capture what I could only describe as cold euphoria. The exhilaration of being feeling untethered after a long time in the same routine. The intoxicating smell of eucalyptus after a long time in the city,” he says.  “I wanted to make something that captured the beauty of that coastal landscape in winter. The way the trees on the windward side of the headland grow with twisted branches, braced against the southerly storms. I wanted to make something that sounded like total release, coming out of a dark place into somewhere filled with light.”

Roland Tings has given remix treatments to the likes of Seekae and Banoffee, supported the likes of Factory Floor, Chet Faker, Optimo, Juan Atkins and more, and taken his propulsive live show to across the globe including a sold out national headline tour and performances at Splendour In The Grass, Paradise Music Festival and Listen Out.  Don’t miss his improvised LIVE at Le Poisson Rouge NYC set, recorded on his recent US tour, proving his live show as one not to miss and 2017 well set to be his year.
