NEW MUSIC: One Trick Pony – Gone Chasin’ Rollercoasters

One Trick Pony are a Northern-bred, London-based, emerging UK Country Duo composed of Georgia Lennon and Michael Pickering, now making quite a mark on the UK country scene since their double-debut in December 2020.

Releasing a conveyor belt of new music; ‘You’re That Face’, ‘Always Home’, ‘Old School’ and ‘A New Hope’, their musical and songwriting abilities have been met by an incredibly exciting response from industry figures and fans alike, named as the British Country Music Association’s Country Release Friday and receiving frequent airplay features on recognised radio stations such as Absolute Radio Country (formerly Country Hits), ChrisCountry/Country Line, UK Country Radio, ARC Radio, CMR Nashville and the British Country Music Association Radio. They are now recognised as BBC Music Introducing artists.

Their latest single, ‘A New Hope’, saw them partnering with notable organisation; Together We Stand UK, to form their official campaign song. This single continues to support victims of abuse and harassment within the arts, which is very close to their hearts as emerging artists within the music industry, with all proceeds donated directly to Women’s Aid.

The excitement surrounding their releases has provided the momentum to continue releasing original music into 2021 and beyond, and the duo are now set for their biggest announcement to date.

On Friday 3rd September, One Trick Pony will release their very first EP; Gone Chasin’ Rollercoasters’. Comprised of entirely new, never-heard-before tracks, this three-track

EP sees the duo taking massive leaps forward into the country music industry, combining old with new.

The three tracks; ‘Dream Chasers’, ‘Gone But Not Gone’ and ‘Rollercoaster’, have a real summer energy to them, promising to make summer just that little bit longer for listeners. The EP also introduces their first co-write with Anderson & Petty on ‘Rollercoaster’.

The duo were thrilled to continue their work with Tim Prottey-Jones as producer, but also welcome hugely exciting Canadian producers, The Agenda, to their work, in what hopes to be a landmark release for One Trick Pony.
