‘In A Little While’, the debut single from Melbourne vocalist Maxi showcased her trademark chilled, electronic and vocally layered pop. The sweet single was teamed with a sassy music video that featured Melbourne’s skyline and dancing bikers and managed to gain up over 5000 views in under a month.“A catchy groove that plays directly to its singular strengths. Maxi spent the summer of 2011/2012 locked away in the attic of her parent’s inner city Melbourne house writing and recording with young producer and musician Joel Witenberg. After settling on Maxi’s favourite four tracks, the EP began to take shape focusing on her trademark vocal harmonies and her love for percussion and synths. Maxi felt that all these elements in her music captured her heart and soul.
Having trained in musical theatre as a child, Maxi was destined to be a performer from an early age. Collaborations as a teenager with other artists, producers and DJs allowed her to experiment with other genres and to hone her recording and stagecraft. No stranger to the limelight, Maxi had graced some of the largest local festival stages including Good Vibrations, Parklife, Hot BBQ, all by the age of 21.
Eager to return to the stage, Maxi has recruited some of Melbourne’s finest up and coming musicians to work on her debut ep ‘Maxi’. The new ep features her debut single ‘In A Little While’ and will also see her upcoming second single ‘From The Start’ come to life.
