NEW MUSIC: Luke Fox ‘Devotion To The Ocean’

Emerging WA singer-songwriter, Luke Fox is proud to share his debut single “Devotion To The Ocean”.

Winner of the 2017 Groovin’ The Moo triple j Unearthed competition, Luke will be playing the Bunbury leg of this year’s festival headlined by The Wombats, Violent Soho, and Amy Shark. He’s excited to share his music and globetrotting stories with a new massive audience.

Raised on the crisp air of Australia’s south west, Luke’s creative and intrepid spirit has led him across the globe, finding waves and playing acoustic shows in France, Portugal, Brazil, Mexico and California. His unique mix of lifestyle and his passionate song writing helped him find the perfect home at STA Travel Sounds, who have recently signed him to their new platform for emerging artists – statravelsounds.com.

In late 2016, Luke entered Rada Studios to record his debut single with renowned producer Matt Gio. Matt is known for his versatility between genres with a diverse list of clients including Abbe May, San Cisco and Birds of Tokyo. After a few beers and some ‘genre hopping’ for inspiration the song “Devotion To The Ocean” was born.

“It is an honest and in-mate take on the perils of love, travel and the longing for home,” says Luke on the creation of the debut single.

The song builds from an acoustic dreamscape into a chorus sprinkled with brightness and colour with a flavour of downbeat Calypso and a rolling bass line that makes you wanna dance.

Following the release of his debut single Luke is playing shows across Perth and the south west. Look out for him in your hometown soon.
