Harry Marshall is an Australian songwriter, recently relocated to France. The last year has seen Harry solidify his sound to a fascination in 80’s styled synths and electric guitar, which has produced a nostalgic driving sound to his works as he often stays to the home of a rhythmic acoustic guitar. Harry Marshall began his song writing at an early age, performing his acoustically driven works to local fans in Emerald and around Queensland. Harry then became the lead singer, songwriter and rhythm guitarist of the band Marshall & the Crooks which gained local popularity. Harry’s highlight are his captivating live performances, receiving reviews such as “toe-tapping fun and intimately entrancing for the slower songs… this kid was better than the headliners.” – The Courier Mail 2014 The Collective Concert. There’s a reason why Harry Marshall has opened for and shared the stage with such acts as Boy & Bear (2012 Brigalow Beatz), Gossling (2012 Brigalow Beatz), Busby Marou (2012 Brigalow Beatz), international recording artist Tina Arena (2013), Reece Mastin (2013), and being called on stage and performing with one of the worlds biggest bands at the moment Mumford and Sons on there most recent Australian Tour (2015) Playing shows at 15, 16, 17 and 18 that bands that have been playing for 20 years would die for. When recording “Epilogue”, Harry stole away into a snug basement studio with respected producer Kevin Brown in The Gap, Brisbane. Two days in the studio laying down tracks and giving clear direction in sound, Harry left the piece in Kevin’s hands returning to his hometown eleven hours away, to which he has produced a beautifully produced, spacious tune. “‘Epilogue’ encapsulates being at the end of whatever it is you have with someone, still loving them but no longer being able to. The small period of time when it’s not completely over but is coming to an end, like drifting through the epilogue of some great story that turns out to be our lives.
