Teaming up with VERONICA who hails from Universal Music Canada’s stable of artists, the latest offering from ALIUS has been released: HANGING BY A THREAD. This international collaboration has produced a record filled with a balance of light and shade, expressed through a sense of electronic soft sounds and memorable drop with an emotional and catchy pop melody and lyrics. ALIUS is the brainchild of insatiable talent, Sebastian Ivanov. The ultimately electronic project combines elements of R&B, Pop and the now famous ‘Australian Sound’ style of electronica, encapsulating both an organic and powerful sound behind the music. Relishing in the realm of future sounds that engulf airwaves and dance floors alike, the ALIUS sound is a true depiction of a new vision in music. Drawing his inspiration from the likes of Flume, Peking duk and underground jackin’ Kidnap Kid, ALIUS channels the beauty, honesty and truth in music. Sebastian’s list of collaborations and productions with artists both at home and abroad is steadily growing, with this latest collaboration coming about through a friend in Canada who, after hearing the song with his vocals on it, suggested Veronica. “Collaborating with international artists is a both a privilege and pleasure. Working with Veronica was a really organic process. Once Veronica’ s vocal was recorded, a relationship developed through the connectivity of the song and on a personal level,” Sebastian said. Sebastian is far from new to the music scene having exuded an enviable aura for over a decade on writing duties for his twin pop duo ‘Bec & Sebastian’. In less than a year since his first single as ALIUS, Sebastian has way exceeded over a million plays on Spotify, with his original tracks and guest appearance.
