The Demons faithful farewelled the much respected and very talented Aaron Davey. A crowd of 22,000 showed up on a Sunday night twilight fixture at Etihad stadium to say goodbye to an extremely proud, emotional and loyal indigenous icon of the Melbourne Football Club. Nicknamed ‘Flash’, Aaron Davey was well renowned for his quick pace and pinpoint accurate kicking, tonight showing he still has what it takes to set up Melbourne’s up and coming power forwards. He will be missed now that he has hung up his boots.. May this be a prime opportunity for the club to sign Davey in a leadership capacity at the club.
