LADYHAWKE swooped into Melbourne on Tuesday night at Billboards and boy did she bring a show and a half! We heard Back of the Van, Dusk Till Dawn, Sunday Drive, Magic, the very catchy Paris Is Burning, Black, White & Blue, Love Don’t Live Here and the biggest track of the night My Delirium! Ladyhawke snuck a few extra tracks in the mix and had the fans at the hop all night long. It was one of those moments… the moment when you hear the original live sound and realise that it sounds far better than the CD – this girl can sing and this girl can perform live!
Fans jam packed the CBD Billboards early and when Ladyhawke jumped out onto stage about 10pm the crowd was ready to rock! There was a distinct connection between Pip and her fans telling them she was back in Melbourne, in a way a homecoming of sorts. At one stage, Pip pulled out the Polaroid, turned to her fans and snapped an instant photograph. With such an amazing sound, Ladyhawke will only get bigger and better as she carries on with her tour of Australia.
