St Ignatius Vineyard & An Argentine Grill Spectacular!

A HUGE thank you to the lovely people at St Ignatius Vineyard in country Victoria at the weekend! It’s a complete wine haven with an amazing Argentine charcoal grill menu. The service was outstanding, the food was spectacular. Looking forward to another stopover in the very near future.
I would have to say that the Argentine grill was probably the best I’ve had… cooked in an open fire, fresh house salad and the best wine in Lamplough! Would highly recommend this place to anyone who is passing through. Sylvia did a great job with explaining her vineyard wines and their tastes and textures, on top of that, she had an amazing team of staff who did an exceptional job. St Ignatius Vineyard is open from 10am – 5pm daily, bookings are essential! Visit for more information… Obrigado! Gracias!

I would like to take this opportunity to send a HUGE thank you to everyone who has supported and visitied this year. The response from fans and readers everywhere has been quite phenomenal. So many hits to the site are from parts of the world I did not know existed! Who would have thought that would entertain readers in Panama or the Dominican Republic?!
As we draw 2012 to a close, theaussieword is proud to end the year with Melbourne being the Number 1 city to hit the page, followed closely by the people of Brisbane and Sydney. Peeps in London love a good read on the blog while the people of New York are forever loyal. Your ongoing support is really appreciated – thank you!
THANK YOU to all of our countries who have stopped by for a read, particularly our Top 10. The United States of America has been by far my biggest audience – for this I am honored. Thanks to the 70,000+ visitors who have dropped in from the USA! Australia, you guys are also amazing and loyal, always there to push our local Aussie content across the globe! Strength in numbers I say! Rounding out the Top 10 is the UK, Germany, Ireland, Italy, France, Canada, Russia and the Ukraine. The people of Spain, Malta, China, Brazil and Portugal are just outside the Top 10 – the support from all of you has been fantastic. The site has become a bit like the United Nations, the Olympics, the Commonwealth Games… We’re all connected! 🙂
I have also made such a great circle of friends, a network that just keeps growing and growing… You all know who you are! 😉 …I have formed some pretty fun and professional partnerships over the last year, I’m looking forward to working closely with you again in 2013. A big shout-out to all of my Sponsors and Foundation Members – you guys have been very loyal and supportive. Here’s to more craziness and general randomness in 2013!

New Music: Melbourne Ska Orchestra ‘The Best Things In Life Are Free’

Covered by some of the greats, including Frank Sinatra & R. Kelly, Sam Cooke’s classic The Best Things In Life Are Free, is a tune to touch the soul. Melbourne Ska Orchestra’s rendition stays true to the big band sound but with a good dose of the orchestra’s famous skankin style in the mix. The result? An upbeat version that is definitely more danceable than any produced to date. Check out the film clip shot at the legendary Allan Eaton Studios in Melbourne, featuring vocalist Pat Powell.
