Spotted this pretty good video from Matthias… It’s a Mashup of David Guetta and Sia’s Titanium and Lights by Ellie Goulding. I asked Matthias what it was that inspired him to put this together, he said “When I came up with the idea for making a Mashup of David Guetta’s Titanium and Ellie Goilding’s Lights I just thought how beautiful they would sound together. They were both extremely electronic yet had a very organic feel. It felt natural putting them together. It was tricky since they were each in a different key than the other, but a lot of fun when layering the melodies.” Take a listen…

Grassroots Music: I, a Man ‘The Scenic Route’

I, a Man have quickly become known for their textual washy guitar sounds teamed with layered arrangements and dreamy melodies. They have garnered respect amongst their music peers and gathered a strong local following with their honest but polished live show, helping them grace some of the most sought stages over the past six months including Falls Festival, St Kilda Festival and Melbourne’s Forum Theatre. The next single ‘The Scenic Route’ continues with the trademark dulcet tone vocals from Daniel Moss, jangly guitars and hypnotic drum beats you would expect from an I, a Man song. The band will embark on a small east coast tour to coincide with the release of their first music video shot at Bakehouse Studios Melbourne back in early June, before going underground to concentrate on writing their debut album which is due for release in the first half of 2013…Support local homegrown talent!
