Prince William became a rock star in England when he joined Jon Bon Jovi and Taylor Swift on stage to sing ‘Livin’ On A Prayer’.
The future King of England performed at the Winter Whiets Gala charity ball at Kensington Palace. Jon Bon Jovi was presented with an award by Prince William recognizing the work that he has done in support of Centrepoint, a charity fighting youth homelessness in Britain.
Performing during the event were Taylor Swift, James Blunt, Tinie Tempah and the guest of honor. As Bon Jovi launched into “Livin’ on a Prayer”, he invited Prince William on stage to join him on the song. William said he would but only if Swift joined them.
The British singer, who opened for Taylor during her Red tour, played Madison Square Garden and invited the American country star to join him as a guest performer for the song they wrote together ‘Everything Has Changed’.
The Grammy Award winner gushed about her upcoming performance alongside her good friend earlier in the day.
“He’s one of my best friends,” Taylor told E! News.
The 22 hitmaker was Ed’s first choice for the gig when he found out she would be in the area promoting her new Christmas holiday collection for shoemaker Keds.
Taylor became a fan of Ed’s music in March 2012 and the duo have since co-written and sung on her single Everything Has Changed.
At the Billboard Music Awards in May, Ed revealed just how close they are.
“Stir fry,” he said when asked to name her specialty dish. “That was good. She gets her wok on.”
Friday night’s performance will come just a day after Ed’s small show at the Mercury Lounge. The venue is the first place Ed ever played in Manhattan a year-and-a-half ago.
MTV News reports the musician played three tracks during the latest show, including one named Forever, which he denied was about Taylor despite fans’ screams suggesting so.
The red-haired crooner was also looking festive in gingerbread man costume in a nod to Halloween.
On July 27th, 2013, at the second of two sold-out shows in Gillette Stadium, Taylor Swift gave the crowd a huge surprise! In front of more than 55,000 fans in Foxborough, Massachusetts, she introduced one of her heroes — Carly Simon. They performed Carly’s iconic hit song “You’re So Vain” together, delighting the crowd and creating a once in a lifetime moment for everyone in attendance. Wowee!
