Prisoner, the raw drama that made headlines in the 80’s is returning in a bolder new format, with episodes to be filmed in Melbourne in the coming months. It has been over 25 years since Prisoner came to an end on our screens, fans can now rejoice with new episodes set to include original inmates
Joan ‘The Feak’ Ferguson, Vera ‘Vinegar Tits’ Bennett and
Bea Smith all from the Wentworth Detention Centre.
The new series will be the headline act for Brian Walsh’ Foxtel, with the reboot of the show to be renamed
Wentworth. Val Lehman, who played Bea Smith was asked about a possible ‘cameo’ on the show, she replied with
“F— the cameo. I want to play the governor”…. fade to black…
