Special Interview: Client Liaison

theaussieword.com catches up with the very talented Client Liaison for special blog interview!

What can you tell our readers about you? How and where did it all begin?

HARVEY MILLER AO: Given our shared appreciation for story telling and dignified belief in the Australian identity, we naturally found ourselves writing music together at a young age. Having both attended Melbourne’s ‘Glamorgan Primary School’ – It was here that we met and formed the early foundations of the Client Liaison sentiment. Fast-forward to 2013, and we’ve begun to dedicate more of our time and effort into lobbying politicians to perform favours for us. State and federal, rezoning land for development, opening and closing certain taxation loop holes to our liking.
MONTE MORGAN: These long lunches in Canberra and late night parties amongst the diplomatic cocktail circuit have taken their toll however. We have a few more loose ends to tie up before we head back to the studio to finish our album. Till then keep your eye out for a ‘’Client Liaison developed high rise’’… coming to a town near you!
What had you first interested in music?
HARVEY: Music television – Rage, Video hits, red, Channel [v], Music Max, MTV, VH1
Who motivates or influences your quest to make great music?
MONTE: Full mini bar privileges when on tour would definitely have to be up there.
Do you have any planned tours coming up?
MONTE: Yes! Heading north to sub tropical Sydney for our single launch on Wednesday the 23rd of October at GoodGod Small Club! (China Town district)
What can fans expect from you in the coming months?
HARVEY: Aside from our single launch shows as The Toff in Town October 19thand in Sydney as mentioned in the above, we’ll be playing Paradise Festival at Lake Mountain Resort here in Victoria on November the 29th.
MONTE: More videos, more singles, more business deals
Success, what is the secret to it and what has been your biggest career highlight so far?
MONTE: Earlier this year we played Victoria’s Golden Plains festival resulting in some ground swell, which has helped propel our sound.  We’ve also been humbled by the end result of our new video ‘Feelng’

Which stars of the music industry do you find most inspiring?
MONTE: Prince
Name a few of your favourite Aussie artists.
HARVEY: Daryl Braithwaite, John Farnham, Tina Arena, Ken Davis, David Hirschfelder, Bruce Rowland and Savage Garden.
How would you best describe you and your music to your fans?
HARVEY & MONTE: Our sound plays out like a long lunch followed by cocktails
Are there any new exciting projects in the works?
HARVEY: Aside from focusing on our upcoming album, we’re currently developing a dramatic six part web series embodying the Client Liaison lifestyle and sentiment. Episode titles may include, ‘ Canberra won’t be calling tonight’ and ‘Gina Lion Heart – Queen of the Pilbara”
The music industry is huge, where do you see yourself a few years from now?
MONTE: By this time it would be safe to say that we’ll have been installed to high office.
HARVEY: Probably a diplomatic posting of some sort, we’d like to represent this great land overseas.

The shape of the music industry has changed significantly over the years, including the use of social media, how do you feel about the industry as a whole and what does it mean to you in getting your records out into the public eye?
MONTE: It’s very important to have a well serviced portable fax machine onsite at all times, in order to keep up with your latest record contracts.
Thank you for the interview! What can you leave fans of theaussieword.com with here today?

MONTE & HARVEY: Put it on the company card. Too much is never enough. Think nothing. Feel everything. Pleasure is good. Fantasy is truth. We are Client Liaison!
