Bryan Adams with harmonica and guitar for Melbourne’s Palais Theatre crowd |
Bryan Adams gave the crowd something to remember last Thursday night with an amazing Bare Bones Tour performance at Melbourne’s Palais Theatre. I was lucky enough to watch from the very front row with an extremely vocal Melbourne crowd! Adams delivered all the hits we know and love, plus a few rarities that took the audience by surprise – for example, the hit Please Forgive Me, which Adams performed in its original format, followed by a very country and western twang! The crowd loved it!
The Palais crowd also heard Bryan perform other hits such as Do I Have To Say The Words, Cuts Like A Knife, Straight From The Heart, Run To You, Everything I Do I Do It For You and Adams greatest rock anthem Summer of ’69. Gary Breit did a tremendous job on keyboards, hitting the right chord at the right time. Adams interacted with the crowd, took a request and engaged with fans who clapped and cheered through every song. The acoustics at the Palais were second to none, a defining sound that streamed crystal clear pitches – Bryan even gave his personal thumbs up for one of Melbourne’s oldest venues saying the sounds the theatre produced were perfect! An amazing night and very up close and personal encounter with one of the world’s biggest rock acts. Yep, he’s still got it!
