Aussie pop group, Mischief have just released their breakout new single, ‘Make Me Move’. Kicking off their music career just last year, their first single ‘Kick it Back’ picked up immediate commercial radio play nationally while their second single ‘Last Night in Vegas’ also gained radio spins on both metro and regional networks.
After a year of writing and performing ‘classic’ pop tunes, the girls have been working on a fresh new music direction with trailblazing producers, Michael Paynter and Michael Delorenzis at MSquared Productions. The team, (including mastering by Tom Coyne – Adele, Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber and Beyoncé) have created a truly international single mixing rich EDM beats and soundscapes with enduring pop melodies to bring out the best in both genres.
‘Make Me Move’ was inspired by decades of pop music from Michael Jackson and Prince to Bieber and The Chainsmokers. “There is this huge musical leap between the ages of 14 and 18,” says Chevonne; the youngest member of the group. “We love the music we grew up with as kids, but now there are new artists out there smashing all the genres together in crazy ways and that’s a very exciting space for us.”
As an independent pop group, Mischief’s success to date is a true indication of the group’s potential and talent. With hundreds of thousands of Facebook video streams to date, and over 130,000 YouTube views, this new single shows that Mischief has grown into a group worthy of international attention.
