New Music: XYLØ ‘America’

Brother – sister duo XYLØ is a Southern California indie pop group comprised of producer/drummer/songwriter Chase Duddy (31) and his younger sister, vocalist/songwriter Paige Duddy (21). Mixing melodic, dark, lustful vocals with an atmospheric blend of indie rock, electronica, and dirty hip-hop beats, XYLØ has drawn early comparisons to the likes of Lorde and Lana Del Rey. Their songs have garnered millions of streams as well as critical praise from Zane Lowe, Complex Magazine, LA Weekly and The Guardian. Although the band was launched only one year ago, XYLØ has already amassed a global fan base.

Following the viral success of “America,” the band self-released three subsequent singles – “Between The Devil and The Deep Blue Sea,” “After life,” and “L.A. Love Song” – with each one garnering millions of listens and contributing to the buzz around the band. At the end of 2015, XYLØ finally decided to sign a major label deal with Sony’s Disruptor Records. Their debut EP, also titled America, slated for release on February 26, 2016.

“The EP is very autobiographical,” says Paige. “Each song is a mini chapter of our lives. They range from love and euphoria to heartache and anxiety (and everything in between).”
